Kathryn Peterson

HOSPITALITY INTERN

Kathryn Peterson is a Hospitality Intern at Upper House and a student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, double-majoring in Environmental Studies and Community and Organizational Development. In her role, Kathryn helps plan and coordinate events at Upper House, creating welcoming experiences where guests feel cared for and can encounter the love of Jesus.

Kathryn’s interest in event planning began in high school while working for a local catering company. She later worked as an environmental educator for a nonprofit. Both experiences shaped her interests in environmental stewardship, community development, and nonprofit work. Passionate about people and the environment, Kathryn is especially interested in finding ways to make event planning more sustainable. She seeks to steward both people and the environment as God’s beautiful creation.

She was drawn to SLBF because of the opportunity to grow professionally and spiritually through mentorship, creative work, and hands-on experience. Kathryn enjoys the Badger State in all its seasons. She especially loves Wisconsin summers filled with lake days, bonfires, slow meals, long walks, and lots of reading time, but also enjoys cozy fall baking days and winter movie nights by the fireplace.
