Looking for a great place to study? Head upstairs to Upper House - a free study space open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Meet with friends, take a lunch break, craft a paper, or prep for your next exam. Free Wi-Fi, plenty of table space, and comfortable seating are available. Check in at the front desk and choose your spot for productivity!
In addition to being a study space, we host lectures and events through Upper House Commons. We also love being the meeting spot for multiple campus ministries, including Badger Cru, Blackhawk College Ministry, Intervarsity, International Student Gathering, Livingstone Church College, Mount Zion Campus Ministry, Navigators, Salt Company, The Impact Movement, and Young Life College.

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES
Upper House offers more than just a place to study! Check out these opportunities for students:

Front Desk Volunteers
Want to study and volunteer? You can help create the welcoming atmosphere that you’ve come to enjoy during Upper House visits by volunteering for a one-time or regular 2-hour front desk shift. We love when volunteers help us bring a smiling face and welcoming presence to all who enter.

Upper House Fellows
The Upper House Fellows Program is your place to ask the deeper questions about faith, your sense of vocation, and being a follower Jesus Christ in a complex and pluralistic world. Join other undergrad and graduate students for a free meal and conversation every other Monday night.

Upper House Interns
The Upper House Internship Program is a paid opportunity designed for undergraduate students’ professional and spiritual development. Interns work with the SLBF team in specialized roles to experience growth through service-driven leadership, healthy team building, and networking with local leaders.
EVENTS FOR STUDENTS
Upper House offers different events during the year open to students of all disciplines and degree types, including monthly student pop-up lunches provided by the SL Brown Foundation.
