Serenity Bahena is a Podcast Production Intern at Upper House and an Elementary Education student at UW–Madison. Her studies and her work as a nonprofit Lead Program Teacher have developed her skills in storytelling, audience engagement, and facilitating thoughtful conversations with diverse audiences. She enjoys researching topics and methods to capture an audience’s attention.

Serenity is passionate about communication, intellectual humility, and creating unity in community. She brings adaptability and authenticity to her work and hopes to be a light to those around her, reflecting the love of Jesus. Although she had never worked directly in ministry before joining SLBF, Serenity saw the internship as an opportunity to grow spiritually and professionally. She was especially drawn to the way communication and hospitality come together at SLBF.

Serenity deeply loves the season of fall, cooking, and music. She enjoys traveling with her husband and has visited two of the Seven Wonders of the World. She also loves Mexican food—especially tacos—and can freestyle rap a bit.
