Why: We've been a Christian study center here at UW—Madison since 2015! Our founders, Steve and Laurel Brown, founded Upper House to be a place for spiritual and intellectual formation.

Your place to ask the deeper questions about faith, your sense of vocation, and being a follower Jesus Christ in a complex and pluralistic world. Join other undergrad and graduate students for a free meal and conversation every other Monday night.

A paid opportunity designed for undergraduate students’ professional and spiritual development. Interns work with the SLBF team in specialized roles to experience growth through service-driven leadership, healthy team building, and networking with local leaders.

Each semester at Upper House we open our doors for students to study during finals week with plenty of seating, abundant food to keep you fueled, extended study hours, and warm hospitality. 

We host a number of campus ministries throughout the week, including Badger Cru, Blackhawk College, Blackhawk Chinese College, InterVarsity, Asian American InterVarsity, ISG/Harbor College, Mount Zion Campus Ministry, Navigators, Salt Company, and Young Life College.
